Learn and Practice Meditate with a True Master

Meditation Retreats with Babaji
USA May – June 2023

Baba Shiva Rudra Balayogi will conduct two meditation retreats in the United States this year: May 5-7 in Stevenson, WA, located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge; the second, June 16-23 at Ananda Ashram in Monroe, NY. Additionally, in Austin, TX, there will be half-day meetings with Babaji from May 30-June 7.

The Retreats are an opportunity to deepen your meditation, grow in Self Knowledge, and understand essential spiritual truths.

Not often does the opportunity arise to turn off all devices, withdraw from our daily routine and dedicate time to finding peace within our Self. Meditation retreats provide time for extended meditation, deep rest, spiritual knowledge, and self-discovery. To advance spirituality, it is essential to quiet the mind and experience deeper states of Consciousness. Direct personal experience and true spiritual knowledge are essential for inner peace and happiness. Babaji’s retreats are dedicated to this purpose.

Shiva Rudra Balayogi is a masterful teacher who shares the wisdom of Self Realization with all who wish to learn. Even without words spoken, being in the stillness of Baba’s presence is an enlightening experience.

One essential message of Baba’s teaching is: People are suffering because they have forgotten the liberating Truth of who they are. Among the thousands of thoughts that appear in our mind each day, one thing is not a thought — our Consciousness of existing. That which is the silent witness to our mind is the true Self. Without direct awareness of this higher reality, it is not possible to end suffering. Quieting the mind with meditation reveals Pure Consciousness is the supreme peace we are all looking for and the essence of our existence.

Retreats with Babaji are an opportunity for personal growth; so much can be gained with so little effort, and we hope you can attend. If challenged for time, you are welcome to participate in any part of the retreat your schedule allows. Those new to meditation or unfamiliar with the meditation Baba teaches will be taught at the programs — there is no charge. Accommodations are limited, so please make a reservation as soon as possible.

Ananda Ashram General Information

What to Bring
Weather can be cool, warm, sunny, or wet. Bring comfortable clothing that is appropriate for a variety of conditions. A lot of time is spent sitting, so bring anything that will help you to be comfortable — baggy clothes, your favorite meditation cushion, blanket, umbrella, water bottle, flashlight, etc.

Importance of Silence
While the Retreat is not officially a Silent Retreat, it is important for your experience and the experience of others to maintain silence as much as possible during the Retreat.

Please Be on Time
Respect others’ silence, and please be seated for meditation five minutes prior to the scheduled meditation time. If food is taken before meditation, light meals are recommended to prevent grogginess.

Donations
The SB-SRBY Mission is a nonprofit, tax-deductible organization funded exclusively by the generous contributions of others. It is not a business. The Mission is dedicated to all who seek inner Peace and relief from suffering. Baba lives a simple life free of extravagance. He shares his knowledge of meditation and Self Realization as a friend, without charge or obligation. If you would like to help, please donate. Your contributions pay for Baba’s travel and Mission expenses so he may continue to guide and inspire others to discover the Peace Within.
